Noto Peninsula Earthquake: Support Hub
The ACCJ expresses its deepest sympathies and concern to all those impacted by the devastating earthquake that struck the Ishikawa Prefecture and the surrounding region on January 1. Our thoughts are with all those affected, including the employees and families of our member companies in the region.
The ACCJ is connecting organizations with the resources and support they need to assist with their relief and recovery efforts. We invite ACCJ members and our many partners in the community to reach out to comms@accj.or.jp if you would like to support or suggest any organizations that we should consider.
Below is a select list of organizations who have dispatched teams on the ground to provide recovery and relief support, including medical services, food, and other much-needed supplies. These organizations are in need of financial donations to carry out these efforts.

Peace Winds Japan
Peace Winds Japan is providing emergency support services with a team of doctors, nurses, rescue workers, and a disaster relief dog team, and is providing search and rescue support, medical support, and emergency supplies support.

Hands on Tokyo
Hands on Tokyo has established todoke.jp to deliver supplies needed by individuals with disabilities and the elderly affected by the earthquake. This platform allows Hands on Tokyo to deliver necessary goods to those who really need them.

Hands on Tokyo – Suzu City School Kit Donations
Hands on Tokyo has teamed up with Peace Boat Disaster Relief Center (PBV) to provide stationary kits to all 650 children of Suzu City’s elementary and junior high schools as they begin their new academic year in April.

Japan Platform is providing emergency supplies and conducting rescue operations with rescue dogs and medical personnel, among other support.

The World Helpline - 24-hour assistance service for the international community
The World Helpline is non-profit, non-governmental services dedicated to the international community. They offer advice on anything from a simple question to an emergency situation, 24 hours a day. The Japan Emergency Team is providing relief support in the Noto Peninsula, their 98th disaster response since 1951.
