The ACCJ invites you to join us for an extraordinary night to celebrate the Fourth of July and the ACCJ's milestone 75th anniversary on July 2 at Tokyo American Club!

The Night of Stars and Stripes brings together the most influential leaders in Japan, including executives, high-level government officials, community partners, and our valued members.

This year's celebration will commemorate and thank the many ACCJ members and partners who for over the past 75 years have worked together to significantly strengthen U.S.-Japan relations and improve Japan's business environment.

This is a not-to-be-missed chance to make meaningful connections, mix and mingle with fellow members, and enjoy festive food and beverages with live music. We welcome you to invite your colleagues and clients to this celebratory evening.

Event highlights include:

  • Guests from the U.S. Embassy and Japanese Government

  • Special entertainment with live music

  • Delicious buffet dinner and signature drinks

  • Sponsorship opportunities (more below)

We look forward to celebrating with you!

LIVE PERFORMANCE BY Marty Friedman

We can’t wait for an exclusive live performance by iconic guitarist Marty Friedman at our Night of Stars and Stripes celebration, thanks to the support of Fender! The electric guitar is an iconic American instrument, and Marty Friedman is a legendary guitarist with strong ties to both the U.S and Japan.

Fender also has a long history with the U.S. and Japan and exemplifies what the ACCJ sets out achieve through this celebration of our 75 years of U.S.-Japan collaboration.

EXECUTIVE CHEF

Flying in from New York, Gramercy Tavern Executive Chef Michael Anthony will craft an exclusive, curated menu for our special celebration. We’re excited for his innovative take on classic American dishes.

Michael Anthony is executive chef of Gramercy Tavern. Anthony joined Gramercy Tavern as the executive chef in 2006. Under his leadership, the restaurant has earned a three-star New York Times review (2007) and James Beard Awards for Outstanding Restaurant (2008) and Best Chef: New York City (2012). In 2015, Anthony won the James Beard Award for Outstanding Chef, a national recognition. His book V is for Vegetables won the 2015 James Beard Award for Best Vegetable-Focused Cookbook.

Celebrate 75 years of music

Music creates a powerful bond, bringing together people across all generations, backgrounds, and cultures. At our Night of Stars & Stripes celebration, enjoy a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience celebrating over seven decades of music inspiring and connecting us across borders.

Thank you to member company supporter ELAC for providing a special music experience to mark the ACCJ's 75th anniversary!

“WOODFORD 75” PRESENTED BY BROWN-FORMAN

Thanks to Brown-Forman, we are serving celebratory cocktails with Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey and Woodford Reserve Bourbon.

The signature ACCJ anniversary cocktail is named the “Woodford 75,” so don’t miss your chance to try it!

Brown-Forman is an American company that has been making whiskey for over 150 years since its founder became the first to bottle bourbon in the U.S. Like the ACCJ, they recently celebrated their 75th year in Japan. Also, this year, they set up their own importation, sales & distribution company in Japan.

EMCEE

To guide us through the evening’s festivities, we’re excited to welcome Emily (英美里)! An English-Japanese bilingual emcee, narrator, and DJ, she has a wide range of experience, having hosted numerous high-profile events from the world of sporting, motor shows, game shows, film festivals, and online talk shows. Her energy and passion will contribute to making our 75th anniversary a memorable celebration!
